In 2023, Chariton Area Chamber/Main Street completed strategic planning with the assistance of Main Street Iowa. The process engaged board and committee members, city staff, and community partners to identify key priorities and opportunities by drawing on research and analysis using ESRI market data, and through local consumer and business surveys.
