Dazzle Fest
This is a time-honored holiday festival reminiscent of the old days, set on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Visitors are greeted by costumed characters and carolers as they stroll the downtown square and enjoy beautiful live window displays and the lighting of the Memorial Tree. Miss Merry Christmas and Little St. Nick are crowned at the Gazebo and the lighted parade dazzles! Families are invited to take photos and share their holiday wishes with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Small Business Saturday
Start your holiday shopping on Chariton's historic square. With a variety of locally-owned small businesses, shoppers are sure to find something for everyone on their list! Enter to win a local Small Business Saturday Gift Basket, one day only!
Chili Cook-Off & Trivia Night
Warm up with a bowl of hot chili and test your wits at the Chili Cook-Off & Trivia Night in January 2023!
Held at CB&Q Freight House, teams of 8 can compete for trivia prizes and vote on their favorite local chili! Individuals, businesses, and organizations are invited to submit a pot of their special chili recipe to earn the title of "Chili Champion."
